One way of saving money is buying used. One store that caters to this need is Value Village. I always hesitated about going into this store, but I have discovered how much I can save shopping for clothes here.
The one thing to keep in mind is that even if it is used, it does not mean that it is worn. I have bought close to a dozen shirt and not one of them has a stain, a rip or any discoloration. Some of them were brand new.
Brand names, at a fraction of the cost. You can buy Gap, Eddie Bauer, Calvin Klein and a host of other quality brand name products at Value Village. Once a month, they sell their goods at half price. This way, I have been able to buy brand name shirts for less than 10 dollars.
The challenge is going often and knowing how to recognize the good deals and quality clothes. However, it is a great way of pinching pennies. You can buy the clothes that you need at a fraction of the cost. The money that you save can be spent on higher cost and quality goods or better yet can be used to pay down debt. Why pay $40 or $50 for a shirt when you can get it for $5?
